Making room for the baby can often times be a lot of fun and it gives you a chance to really set things up just right. You might have gone out and purchased the latest baby monitoring equipment or gotten your home security through services like alarm systems Augusta and now all that’s really left is picking out a color to paint the baby’s room. Sounds pretty simple, right? It’s really not when you stop and consider the importance of color, especially when this is the color the baby will see every time he or she goes to sleep every night.

Studies have been done that show that abrasive and bright colors can have quite an intense psychological effect on even a mind as young as a baby’s. Neon colors can create a sense of intensity and anxiety while calmer and cooler colors can make the baby feel at home and at ease. It’s all about knowing which colors trigger what and how to avoid making your little one feel uncomfortable in his or her own room. Luckily, much of this can be determined by common sense and your own personal experience, but if you really aren’t sure which colors will have a negative effect on the baby, you can always check the various color studies online.

As a new parent there are so many things that you want to buy for your infant. Unfortunately the cute outfits, toys and decor are often items that they will only use for a very short period of time. Instead of spending a lot on baby furniture that they can only use once or twice you can buy pieces that will last them until adulthood. These pieces they will be able to take with them when they move out of the house and get their own place. A crib is an item you must have when you have a baby.I was looking for more information and found it here. Instead of getting a small crib or one that is only a crib, get one that converts.

A converting crib will turn into a toddler bed for the child, and then into a headboard and foot board when the child gets into a full sized bed. These are great because you only have to buy one bed frame throughout their entire life. Buy a matching dresser set to go with the crib, and avoid changing tables. Full size dressers will give you a lot more space, and the child can also take the dresser or dressers with them when they go.

There are a variety of ways to upgrade your toddler’s room from a baby’s room. The most important aspect of upgrading a room is the change of a bed from a baby’s crib to a twin bed. There are a number of beds that can be added to a toddler’s room which includes one that can be converted into a twin bed. This helps to save money on the additional bed frame that you will need to purchase as your child grows.

Purchasing new furniture for a toddlers room can help with an upgrade. The most important furniture to classify a baby’s room from a toddler’s is a space for children’s toys, whether it is a display place or a shelf for signature toys and collectibles.

Basic alterations include removing a wallpaper and changing the color of the walls. Without the need of physically repainting the walls, an option can be to add stickers of popular toddler cartoons and TV shows on the walls. Additional changes include bedding, pillow, and throws that include popular characters and bright colors for the corresponding gender. There are a variety of ways to upgrade a room, it is up to you to be creative!

When decorating a room shared by two children, it becomes time to get creative. Sharing a bedroom means a need for two of everything, including personalities. To avoid conflicts such as who has the best dresser or desk, consider using the same style of furnishings for both children. Their individuality can be easily expressed in the decorations for each space.

When it comes to color choices, encourage the children to choose two coordinating room colors or one main color in two slightly different shades. Twin beds can be individualized with the use of linens that coordinate with each other, but allow each child to have their own design. Comforters with reversible designs are a great solution for providing them with individual designs that are cohesive in style. For two girls sharing a room, options such as plaid for one child and floral for the other or for two boys a plaid and a solid will blend together well, while giving them each a separate look.

Separation of space will become an important issue as they become pre-teens and teens. Floor runners placed on the area between the beds is an inexpensive, but decorative way to divide the sleeping areas. Small decorative room dividers placed between two desks is attractive way to give each child their own study area. Pictures and posters are an easy and inexpensive way to decorate and each child would be able to personalize their space according to their likes. Letting the children have a voice in the room dcor such as paint color, pictures and linens will help each child to feel as they have a space of their own.

Once upon a time there was a little girl who wanted nothing more than to be a princess. With a little paint, fabric and a few special touches you can make your daughter’s dreams come true by giving her a room fit for royalty.

PAINT
Choosing a color palate is one of the best ways to set the mood for any room. Pinks and purples are the more traditional color choices for a child’s princess room but deep jewel tones like emerald and sapphire would be beautiful too.Is this new to you? Catch up here If you don’t want to paint the entire room because you are afraid it might be too dark, paint one wall as an accent. It will still make a dramatic difference.

FABRIC
Give your princess privacy for her royal naps and make a canopy over her bed. Try using a wreath of grapevines and securing it to the ceiling. Drape sheer fabric through the wreath and tack the ends to either side of the bed. Use the same fabric or find one that coordinates to make drapes for her windows.

DRESS UP AREA
Every princess needs a place to adorn herself. Make one corner of the room a dress up area. Inexpensive hooks can be hung to keep her crowns, dresses and necklaces easy to find and off the floor. A mirror hung on the wall and some shelves for shoes completes the area.

Other touches like a special lamp in the shape of a castle or stickers on the wall that proclaim your daughters name in fancy script complete the look for a truly magical princess room.
